|As of Monday 10th June Disability Living Allowance (DLA) has been replaced by the Government's new, Personal Independence Payment (PIP) disability payment scheme.
Although, PIP is said to ensure that the highest level of financial support is provided to the correct individuals.
As a result of stricter guidelines for disabled individuals claiming financial support, 'Government figures show that over five years as many as 600,000 disabled people will lose out on £2.62 billion pounds of support as a result of the changes' source: Scope.
Hopefully, individuals who require the most amount of support are supported. Although, this does indeed leave a large percentage of the disabled population with a gloomy financial outlook, potentially pushing some individuals to use risky credit schemes for daily living needs.
Ensure you continue to receive your disability support by heading to the Governments PIP website - https://www.gov.uk/pip/overview
