|Since yesterday, 8th April 2013, the UK Government has began abolishing the countries Disability Living Allowance (DLA). The procedure of introducing the new Personal Independence Payment (PIP) scheme has been put into place to ensure that the correct people receive the suitable amount of financial support.
The introduction of the PIP has came under an intense spotlight due to its tighter eligibility criteria and new assessment process.
Many high profiled figures has highlighted a huge amount of disabled people becoming worried due to less financial support.
600,000 disabled people are set to lose DLA across the UK. Through this radical reduction in support, the average weekly income could be between £20.55 - £131.50 lower than this time last year.
