DWP and disability.
I moved from Manchester to South Shields and now ongoing care moved from Wythenshawe to the Freeman hospital for the electrical circuit around my heart. Goes the wrong way sometimes and cardiac arrest occurs. Not nice.
At 66, my M/c Bus/Tram pass was replaced by the Tyneside one and for £12 a year, unlimited use of the Tyne Ferry. Lovely.
No such help for the Tyne Tunnel and I`m told this is down to the DWP.
Mersey tunnel gives help to DLA, AA(h/r) and over 65s, but the Tyne has been overlooked.
Loads of friends at hand to take me to three hospitals, but it's embarrassing getting these people to fork out £3.40 every time.
Come on DWP, tell Tyne tunnel to match the Mersey.
