All Ability Cycling

All Ability Cycling Clubs

The All Ability Cycling Clubs are for everyone. We offer the opportunity for members to have an independent cycling experience whatever their age or ability. It is an informal, social environment where members cycle together around the park for fun, health and fitness. Family and carers are welcome to join in. The clubs are free to participate. We provide bicycles and helmets and have a wide selection of equipment, ranging from scooters, two wheelers, tandems, trikes, recumbents, wheelchair and hand cycles.

Bikeworks East - Victoria Park AACC

Enjoy the surroundings of Victoria Park by bike. The club meets by the big tree opposite the Gunmakers Lane entrance to Victoria Park (E3 5QB) on alternate Saturdays between 1pm and 3pm. See below to check the latest dates.

New Junior AACC- Victoria Park

The new Junior AACC takes place in Victoria Park between 12pm and 1pm every other Saturday. It is a fun space for younger members, their families and carers to have a go, with Bikeworks instructors providing age and ability appropriate activities.

New All Ability One to One Sessions- Victoria Park

For anyone wanting to take their All Ability Cycling experience further, free individual sessions are available at Bikeworks each week. These fun sessions are an opportunity to try out any of the bikes and gain confidence, skills and fitness working with a Bikeworks instructor. For more information or to book a one hour session, please email or call us.

Bikeworks West - Kensington & Chelsea AACC

This new club meets at the Little Wormwood Scrubs Adventure Playground (W10 6AD). Sessions are free and open to all and take place between 1pm and 3pm every other Saturday. See below to check the latest dates.

If you are a group or organisation, based in Kensington & Chelsea and are looking for more provision than the regular All Ability Club, please email or call us to discuss additional group session availability on Fridays from the Little Wormwood Scrubs location.

Special Olympics Training Programme

This is a chance to train with Bikeworks instructors to take part in regional and national Special Olympics competitions. Special Olympics Great Britain (SOGB) is the third member of the Olympic family and provides sporting opportunities for people with a learning disability. All athletes have an equal opportunity to take part. This free training is offered as individual 1 hr sessions every other Saturday from both our Victoria Park (current) and Kensington & Chelsea club locations.

Training includes a range of cycling activities (all off-road) working towards competing in time trial distances (including 500m, 1km, 5km and 10km distances). This programme is ideal to build fitness and improve health and confidence, while working towards clear competition goals and being part of a team.

If you want to come along or know someone who may wish to take part, please contact Bikeworks for more information or to book a time slot (please note booking is necessary).

All of the above activities are carried out within off road, safe environments away from moving vehicles. Participants / carers will need to complete a one-off consent form for members prior to taking part in cycling activities.

Bikeworks are able to provide trained cycle instructors who have experience of working with disabled children young people and adults we have expert knowledge when it comes to levels of risk assessment and suitable individual programme selections. Our mission statement is 'Inclusive Cycling for All', and our priority is to offer safe cycle training to those people who have specific training requirement and needs.
