The Most Recommended Airline for Travelling with a Disability
It is essential that when travelling with a disability, travel service providers cater for the needs and wants of the disabled public. Whether this is ramps, access for the blind, deaf or physically impaired or simply exceptional customer service, airlines and other transport providers must be able to facilitate disabled travellers.
Although in most cases every care is taken to provide these necessities for disabled travellers, sometimes small things can be overlooked, customer service is not as high as it should be or certain specialist travel arrangements do not go to plan. However, there are some companies that are truly recognising the needs of disabled travellers and are going above and beyond the call of duty to provide for them.
In light of this, Holiday Extras, UK airport parking, airport hotels and travel insurance providers have recently confirmed the shortlist of nominees for their 2010 Customer Awards.
With a category specifically dedicated to 'Most Recommended Airline for Travellers with a Disability', the awards are a chance for you, the disabled travelling public to vote for the airlines that should be recognised as going the extra mile to make your flight as hassle-free as possible.
The nominees include: Aer Lingus, Air Canada, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, SWISS and Virgin Atlantic and winners will be announced on September 16th 2010.
