Stay Up Late campaign
Under the stars are supporters of the 'Stay Up Late campaign'. We see people leaving the nightclub at 9.00pm and we think that they want to stay longer but can't get the right support to do this. The Stay up Late campaign wants to get people the right support so that they can stay out for as long as they want.
This needs to be done in two ways:
• We want people with a learning disability to know they can stay up late.
• We want support workers to work different hours so that people with a learning disability can Stay Up Late. We know support workers do not mind working different hours, as long as they have enough time to plan.
How can I find you?
We are based at the HUBS - hallam student uni click here for Directions and map.
How much are tickets?
£6 for all tickets. You can buy tickets here or on the door.
Do I need to bring a support worker?
If you normally need someone to support you, then you will need to bring someone with you to the events.
I need help getting to the club, can you help?
We cannot help people with transport as we don't have enough money. Please do call us and we maybe able to link you up with an organisation in your area or we can tell you about which transport to get.
Does my carer have to pay for a ticket?
We're afraid so, we would not be able to afford to run our nights if we let carers in for free. If it is stopping you from coming, just give us a call and we'll help to make sure you can come.
Do you make lots of money?
No! All the money from ticket sales, t-shirts and caps is spent to make sure that our 'Under the Stars' nights are bigger and better each time.
I want to volunteer, can I?
Come speak to us or give us a call, or you can download an application form and a volunteer role sheet on our volunteering page to see what you can do.
