Four Of The Best Motability Cars
If you receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance or the War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement, you are entitled to apply for a new car using your allowance. The Motability Scheme allows disabled customers to choose from over 4,000 cars and wheelchair accessible-vehicles, but with all that choice, how do you know, which car to choose?
Not every make of car is available through the scheme, but most of the household car brands are available, including Ford, Fiat and Renault. Depending on your needs, you can order a vehicle with specific adaptations to suit you, including push/pull controls and swivel seats to allow easier access to the car. On the Motability Scheme, most types of car are available, from city cars to family cars, and 4x4s, although the more expensive the car, the more the advance payment will be.

Ford Fiesta - The UK's favourite supermini is available on the Motability Scheme with no advance payment. The new shape Ford Fiesta 1.4D Style 5 door comes with air conditioning, and an MP3 compatible radio and CD player.
Vauxhall Corsa - The Corsa is a great choice for those who are young at heart. The Vauxhall Corsa 1.3CDTi 75 Club ecoFLEX 3door is also available with no advance payment on the Motability scheme, and would be a great choice for those who need a nippy little run-around but don't do much long distance driving.
Fiat 500 - If you like to be a trendsetter, a new Fiat 500 1.3TD POP Special 3-door could be the Motability car for you. This funky little city car will certainly turn heads when you are driving.
Ford Focus - If you need a larger family-sized car, the Ford Focus 1.6 100 Zetec 5-door could be the car for you. Also available with no advance payment, the new Ford Focus comes with alloy wheels and heated windscreen as standard.
These are just four of the Motability cars that are available with no advance payment, but there are many other options available to you. For example the Ford Ka is available for £100 advance payment, and if you are willing to pay more up front, there are a host of other cars available to you.
