Easy-access Britain: The Guide to Accessible Places to Stay and Visit
'Easy-access Britain' features quality-assessed accommodation in Britain that are members of national accessible schemes. Aimed at the elderly and those with mobility, visual and hearing disability and their carers, the guide is an invaluable resource when planning a holiday that works for everyone.
According to Disability Rights Commission estimates, there are more than 10 million residents with a disability in the UK (with a consumer spend of GBP 50 billion) and that the number of over 60s will reach 20 per cent of our population by 2015.
'Easy-Access Britain' features: more than 400 quality-assessed hotels, B&Bs, guesthouses, self-catering homes and camping/caravan parks throughout Britain that are members of a national accessible scheme; accommodation entries include quality and accessibility ratings, photos, contact information, prices, facilities, directions and special promotions; accessible travel information and directory of services; and, ideas on where to go and what to do.
'Easy-Access Britain' is published by Tourism For All UK, a national charity that champions accessibility in the tourism industry, and VisitBritain, the national tourism agency.
