Invitation to Launch / Fun Day - To Celebrate Our 1st Season

Beach Within Reach is holding a Fun day to launch the 'All-Terrain' beach wheelchairs.
The Fun Day will include various activities ranging from races, rounders, cricket and a sandcastle competition. All are invited to participate! Bring along a picnic - and have fun!
We extend this invitation to any children/adults that would be interested in taking part and having fun, and to see the 'All Terrain' wheelchairs in action!
Please note that children MUST be accompanied by an adult/carer. No unaccompanied minor will be allowed to stay.
We do hope you will be able to help us celebrate our 1st season.
All-Terrain Wheelchairs
Beach Within Reach is a new charity based in Ramsgate. The charity was set up to supply specially designed All-Terrain wheelchairs for the beach.
These All-Terrain wheelchairs will enable disabled children and adults to use them on the beach and enter shallow water.
At the moment, the wheelchairs that they use cannot navigate the sands as they become bogged down.
Accessories available with the wheelchairs are adaptable to all levels of disability and will fit to the basic wheelchair.
The wheelchairs will be available for use by local people, visitors, schools, charities and other organizations, which provide visits and holidays for people with disabilities.
Work is under way to establish a partnership with Thanet District Council and Beach Within Reach to operate these All-Terrain wheelchairs on Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Margate and Westgate-on-Sea beaches and hopefully smaller bays in the Thanet area.
We have had excellent feedback that these All-Terrain wheelchairs will make a great difference to the enjoyment of those with physical limitations.
